Bridal beauty tips countdown 6 months to go Starting a beauty regime in preparation for your wedding is a great way to ensure you look radiant on your big day. At this point you have plenty of time to find the right beauty regime that fits in with your life style. Your skin Making sure your skin is looking at its best is very important. For healthy, glowing skin consider booking regular facials. Once a month is recommended for best results. Alternatively you could do your own facials by gently exfoliating, and applying a face mask once a week along side your skin care routine. Make sure you are drinking enough water to keep your skin hydrated and you are eating a healthy, balanced diet to include plenty of fruit and vegetables. If you are wearing a backless or low cut dress on the day consider treating this area too by gently exfoliating and moisturising regularly. Don't forget to moisturise your neck and if you have dry skin apply a generous amount of cream to soak in over night. Your hair This is a good time to start getting your hair in peak condition especially if you want to wear it loose or you want to grow it so you can have it put up. Make sure you get it trimmed regularly to get rid of split ends and keep it looking healthy. Use a conditioning treatment once a week especially if its dry or damaged. If you are thinking of trying a new style now is the time, leaving this too close to the wedding day is not recommended. 3 months to go Your hair and make up This is the time to book an appointment with a make up artist to discuss having your make up professionally applied on the day and to book a trial run. Start to look through wedding magazines or on line for example pictures of what you like, to show your make up artist. If you are going to do your own make up its worth investing in a make up lesson with a make up artist for advise on colours, make up products and application which you can then practice yourself at home. Book an appointment with a hair stylist for a trial run and consider hiring a stylist that will come to you on the day to save the worry of getting to the salon on the day and if its windy or rains the effects this could have on your style. You may wish to book with a mobile artist who specialises in both bridal hair and make up saving you time, and some offer a discount for booking both hair and make up together. Again remember to take a look through some magazines for ideas and consider whether you would like to have any hair accessories, tiara and veil and and if possible show your stylist a picture of your dress,as these will all have an effect on choosing your style. Tanning Now is a good time to think about whether you are going to start using sun beds for a healthy glow or using fake tan. You could try applying this yourself or making an appointment at a salon. This is definitely not something to try out for the first time close to the big day! You may want to use a tinted moisturiser for a very natural looking tan but this will take a while to build up to the desired colour. Your eyebrows Get your eyebrows shaped professionally, you can then have them tidied regularly in the lead up to the day or tweeze them yourself following their new shape. Its important not to have them shaped especially with wax too close to the big day or you will be left with red marks. Your hands and nails Your hands will be the centre of attention when people are admiring your wedding ring and are likely to be in the pictures taken whilst cutting the cake so you will want them to look well manicured, soft and smooth. Start booking regular manicures every couple of weeks to get your hands and nails in great condition or if you don't have the time or cash for this you can do your own regular manicures. Remember not to use a course nail file which can damage your nails, use a soft grade file and file them from the outer edge to the centre, sawing your nails will also cause them damage. File them in a shape to match your own cuticle line, its most flattering. To keep nails and cuticles healthy and in great condition use a good nail oil daily.
